We love our colors, from rose pink to ocean blue, and can't wait to get that mani & pedi done. But have you ever been in a situation where you get so excited to have your perfect polish on, only to get home and discover that your perfect nails are, well...? I know I have. Thus, I decided to get some tips from our therapist, Mina, on how to keep our nails last longer.

Let It Dry
Did you know that it can take up to 12 hours for the nail polish to fully dry? Remember that getting your nails done means pampering yourself, so take your time and relax. We are not suggesting that you should spend all day at the spa (although it’s not a bad idea), but try to schedule a reasonable amount of time so you don’t have to rush out the door and ruin your new nails in five minutes.
Keep It Cool
Heat slows down the polish hardening process. Avoid jumping into a hot tub, sauna, hot yoga class or steaming shower right after you get your nails done. Another hazard to avoid during that 12-hour window – the pool. We know you are eager to show off your pretty nails, but chlorine weakens the polish, add that concrete bottom and your fresh pedi is in danger.
Avoid Shoes
If you forget to bring your own open-toed shoes, do wear those disposable foam flip-flops we give you. You are allowed to look a little silly for the sake of having gorgeous nails.
Top It Off

The average top coat starts to wear off in 48-72 hours. Reapply a clear topcoat every other day, giving an extra swipe across the tip of the nail.
Gel Mani?
If you get gel mani, you can forget all of the above. Gel nail polish is cured using a U.V. light, so it dries completely before you leave our spa – plus it will stay chip-free for 2-3 weeks.
Pamper Your Skin
Getting your nails done is not just about the polish – let’s not forget about the soaking, scrapping, trimming and buffing that makes us say “Ahh”. It’s best to maintain your skin at home – use a pumice stone regularly in the shower to remove dead skin and apply lotion right after bathing to seal in moisture.
