Winter is the perfect time to play with nail polishes, but it is also a necessity to give our nails a little more care than you would during the summer months.  Extra washing, antibacterial cleansers, and dry heat can all effect the condition of your nails.

Tips from the Pros:

Exfoliate- Paraffin, sugar scrubs and our special scrubs are all wonderful ways to help your skin start to regenerate itself. Feet kept in our socks can be prone to increased calluses.  We have some wonderful treatments to keep your feet smooth and callus free.

Moisturize- After you have exfoliated you need to put the moisture back into your skin.  Drink more (water), and try to use a moisturizer with shea butter.

Protect- If you like me are already prone to dry cuticles and nails that peel.  You need a little more protection for your nails than just moisturizer.  Your nails and cuticles need to be protected and treated.  Radiance Spa has a wonderful product Duri Rejuvacoat that will protect weak nails and allows them to grow. Our Gel Polish is also great for helping nails to grow since it lasts so long- most people do not see chips for 10-14 days!

Already suffering from winter weather nail blues?

Hang Nails?  Don't pick or bite it out, instead wait if possible and then using nail clippers trim to the base of the hang nail and then use some disinfectant.

Clipped polish?  Instead of removing all of the polish, just paint the chipped area and then soak a cotton ball or q-tip in nail polish remover and lightly run it over the line between the old and new polish.  Coat with a clear coat of polish.
