Winter is the perfect time to play with nail polishes, but it is also a necessity to give our nails a little more care than you would during the summer months.  Extra washing, antibacterial cleansers, and dry heat can all effect the condition of your nails.

Tips from the Pros:

Exfoliate- Paraffin, sugar scrubs and our special scrubs are all wonderful ways to help your skin start to regenerate itself. Feet kept in our socks can be prone to increased calluses.  We have some wonderful treatments to keep your feet smooth and callus free.

Moisturize- After you have exfoliated you need to put the moisture back into your skin.  Drink more (water), and try to use a moisturizer with shea butter.

Protect- If you like me are already prone to dry cuticles and nails that peel.  You need a little more protection for your nails than just moisturizer.  Your nails and cuticles need to be protected and treated.  Radiance Spa has a wonderful product Duri Rejuvacoat that will protect weak nails and allows them to grow. Our Gel Polish is also great for helping nails to grow since it lasts so long- most people do not see chips for 10-14 days!

Already suffering from winter weather nail blues?

Hang Nails?  Don't pick or bite it out, instead wait if possible and then using nail clippers trim to the base of the hang nail and then use some disinfectant.

Clipped polish?  Instead of removing all of the polish, just paint the chipped area and then soak a cotton ball or q-tip in nail polish remover and lightly run it over the line between the old and new polish.  Coat with a clear coat of polish.

At Radiance Spa we are constantly looking for ways to improve our services and provide the best possible techniques and devices.  Last year when we opened we had services using Micro-needling.  Micro-needling has advanced and so have our techniques.  If you have acne scars, burns, sagging skin, fine lines and wrinkles- our new Derma-Pen may be the answer.

How does it work? Unlike the roller Micro-needles that roll, those curved needles go in at an angle, the Derma Pen goes in straight up and down.  The needles we use are smaller and can be used on any portion of your face or other body areas that need help.  These small needles penetrating the skin help to stimulate collagen production, as well as your bodies natural healing ability.  We use the professional model with disposable needles to ensure the best possible results.

The best results can be seen when the client combines topical treatments with the Derma-pen.  For most skin issues we recommend 4-6 treatments.  Each treatment at Radiance Spa is $150 or 6 treatments for $750.

Below is an example of the healing that can happen with Derma-pen treatments.

A report by CBS 3 is below.

This treatment may be the perfect way to use your gift card from Radiance Spa.  If you are preparing for a special event, perhaps your wedding or you want to make it a special event.  You should contact Daiva at Radiance Spa for a consultation.  Call 215-343-0350 ext. 6.
